  My Prediction Regarding New Space Telescope That Will See Back to 100 Million Years From the Big Bang

  a new space telescope launched a few days age that will supposedly be able to see to within 100 million years of the big bang.

  wow... only 100 million years from the big bang.

  that is pretty early given the 12 billion year age of the universe assigned by scholars who adhere to naturalism.

  NASA Administrator Bill Nelson described the image I posted above to President Biden, saying all the stars and galaxies it encompassed were located in an area of space the size of a grain of sand held at arm's length by someone standing on Earth.

  "We're looking back more than 13 billion years," he said. "That light that you are seeing has been traveling for over 13 billion years, and by the way, we're going back farther.   Ok, it's show time:

  First a review. According to the worldview of naturalistic materialism; supposedly, after the big bang vast clouds of gases formed first generation stars, then they burned out after millions of years, then reformed new stars, then they likewise burned out after millions of years, then finally reconstituted themselves (stage 3 stars) to form the beautiful spiral galaxies making up the universe that we observe today. This story is needed because stage 1 and 2 stars could not have the heavy metals that are detected in stars we see today. So, it must have happened right?

  Several months ago (at launch time), I started this thread which makes a prediction on the opening post (OP) about the new Webb telescope that was launched last Christmas Day. I predicted that it would document fully formed galaxies as it looks further away than anybody has looked before - supposedly close to the time of the big bang.

  can someone please call these three guys and tell them that the first gentile christian was an active duty roman military officer named cornelius.

  As VH pointed out, the reference was to John the Baptist, not Jesus as I originally said. (Luke 3: 14) But, the point is the same. How could soldiers be content with their wages as instructed without continuing their job as soldiers?

  Likewise, how could governments (made up of people employed by such) bear the sword (as instructed by God) without using it from time to time?

  WT reasoning makes no sense unless you falsely conclude that God commands people to do stuff for which they will later be punished.

  When Jesus told the soldiers to be content with their wages, he tacitly told them to keep doing their job as soldiers. They could not have been "content with their wages" unless they continued as soldiers.

  What did they do for foundations? What did they use for roofing? Did they use mortar or are the stones/blocks/etc. just held in place by gravity?

  This is a fascinating documentary on how a few scholars gor out of the classroom and started building a castle using only medieval tools.

  my brother worked at a grocery store at 16 years old.

  he would miss tuesday's ministry school due to his work schedule.

  Should a Christian celebrate Christmas?

  hello, i'm new here and have woken up to the real truth concerning the org.

  i'm sort of fading away at the moment.... i need help with something, i used to as a child celebrate christmas and have always had amazing memories of it (my husband hasn't as he was born into the org) but i gave it up when i learnt the "truth".

  my interest was only in pleasing god and still is.

  I ve never came across in the bible to anything close to this.

  Sure you have, its been quoted on this thread many times. You just won't receive it.

  Romans 13: 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
